Counting Our Blessings!

We had much to be grateful for as we gathered at FBC  this morning and we recognized two of our blessings during this morning's service which we began with a congregational praise song.  The welcome from Matt was followed by a tribute in honor of Memorial Day to all those who gave their lives in wars over the years so that we could live in a measure of freedom that much of the rest of the world does not enjoy.  When the video tribute ended the choir, orchestra and all our talented  accompanists presented the stirring anthem, "Hymn Of Heaven" with Brian doing the solo portion and the congregation actually standing to join in on the final triumphant chorus.  We continued the worship and praise with more congregational singing before Pastor Wes turned our thoughts to Ephesians 2:8-10 and what the Bible tells us about the blessing of the grace of God which is the basis for our salvation if we have truly trusted Jesus.  We don't deserve it, can't earn it, can't add anything to it and can never repay it.  Pastor Wes had much more to say about the grace that cost God such a terrible price and you can see it on the live-stream and be inspired and encouraged as I was.  The final blessing of the morning was the recognition of our graduating seniors and the opportunity to join in prayer over them as we send them out into the world to wherever and whatever God has planned for them to be and do!
