A Swan!

We took a lovely walk along the canal today. We got on at Hempsted bride and walked down towards town stopping at the park along the way for Charlotte to play for a while. We saw this swan hunting for its lunch whilst we were walking. Charlotte knows that swans belong to the queen so whenever we see one she asks where the queen is! It does make me laugh. We called in at sainsburys for a well earned drink before heading back home. I think we must have walked a few miles in total! Lovely to have the weather and be out enjoying it!

This afternoon we are heading out with my sister, her boyfriend and his parents who are visiting from Scotland. I've been assigned Charlotte and driving duties so I guess the rest are planning to have a drink or 3!

I'm excited as I've just organised Charlottes birthday party today as well! Nothing fancy, only a few friends here but I've managed to persuade a friend of mine to come and do some face painting. Hubby isn't impressed as its happening on the Saturday after her birthday which happens to be his birthday! September is a very expensive month for me!

Off to hunt for Charlottes birth certificate now. I think it's in the loft though so no hope of getting it down!!! And we need it for school tomorrow! Wonder if they would accept her passport instead! It does the same thing doesn't it?
