Cliff swallow nests

I co-led a Bird hike this morning and we took shelter from the thunderstorm under a building where Cliff Swallows have established a colony. They painstakingly build their nests from tiny balls of mud mixed with their sticky saliva. Bird pottery - and functional! One was peaking out of its nest - so cute!
