Berkach

I rode a two-hour tour on my bicycle in the Hessian Ried in the Rhine valley. A bit more than 40km. It was not too warm, no sun, I even had a bit of a drizzle once or twice. I saw a lot of nature and wild life (red kites, storks, deer, etc.). And also some interesting buildings.

The building in my entry today is the old "Rathaus", the city hall, of Berkach (pronounced here as Berkoff, with the "e" sounding like in "test"). This building is from 1594 (renovated in 1935), Berkach is at least 300 years older.

Berkach is part of the city of Groß-Gerau since 1972.
