Seriously?

Home?

Photograph taken during my morning stroll with Rufus at 9am. The side streets are so wide, lined with villas. There is almost no one around, just the odd street dog snoozing in the partial shade of a bougainvillea - it is almost eerily quiet and yet so close to the High st.  I found a small garden centre selling shrubs and plants so will have to go again when I turn my focus to getting the outside how I want it.

Graham and Kat arrived around 1pm and we three went to the complex for the scheduled AGM.  It was a long meeting, and when finished, so was I, having stood down after 5 years on the management committee, not least as I'll be selling my apartment there. I walked away from the meeting a bit emotionally eoverwhelmed as another chapter closes.

A beer on Kat and Graham's balcony with Sami, our translator for the meeting, before we three headed back to Akbuk where we spent the evening on my patio with takeaway Pide from Unuvar and more beers until about 10.30 when they went back home to the complex - something I will never do again, although I still haven't completely emptied the place, it is no longer home. So for now, I'm on my own at home in Akbuk - yet another new phase in this odd life of mine.
