Meall na Teanga

I'd seen the two Loch Lochy Munros when I was looking north west from the summit of Beinn Teallach a few weeks ago. They'd looked inviting (this explains the title of my Walkhighlands walk report) so I drove up the A9/A889/A86/A82 to the start of the walk at Kilfinnan.

It was a fantastic walk, one of my best ever Munro outings. The route takes you up to a bealach and you then do each of the two Munros from that same bealach. One result of this is that you keep meeting the same fellow-walkers multiple times, which is why one of the Walkhighlands walk reports describes these as "very sociable hills"!

I climbed Sròn a' Choire Ghairbh first. The photo here is the view looking across to Meall na Teanga just as the path starts to flatten out onto the summit plateau..
