Went to foodbank this morning and helped out in the kitchen with the fresh fruit and vegetables. Some of it can be a bit messy - we split the bagged and netted items and there’s sometimes one item that’s passed its best , but we wear disposable gloves. It’s also really nice to pack up fresh things for people rather than the usual tins and packets. I stayed until the end to help with carrying everything to the cars etc so got home about 12.30. Did some chores and had some lunch and walked round to JS’s to go for a walk with her and Pepper ( nephew’s dog that she is looking after for a week). Her friend D came too. We walked along the river to the water sports centre, had a coffee and then came back again. Watered the plants when I got home and started to make a fish pie for tomorrow but then spent the rest of the evening on the sofa.
