2024 Saturday — Meet-up Today

Our phones rang late this morning — it was the couple who own the property on the street below. We’ve been watching the construction work for the past several months and I have been texting them photos every day of the work being done. They live in Los Angeles and were driving-up for the day to see the place.

We first connected with them on Saturday, April 6 by phone after they had been to Cayucos to see their property and they had knocked on a few doors so they could meet the neighbors. We did not meet them then, but our neighbor Randi put us in touch with them by texting and we have been in touch every day since.

Today we got to meet face-to-face. We invited them in and we all sat at our dining room table for approx two hours getting acquainted and we gave them the nickel ninety-eight tour of our house and property. Spending time with them was delightful. We’ll continue to text them photos every day that work happens at their property.
