Paddy the wanderer

We have lived in Wellington for 20 years and just today learned this lovely story from happening upon a water fountain by the Academy of Arts building on Customhouse Quay. The plaque says the fountain is dedicated to the memory of Paddy the Wanderer. Alongside is this wonderful story (see extra: you probably have to see it enlarged to read but it is worth it...)
