La Strada del Sagrantino

A beautiful day for a bike ride! We cycled along “La Strada del Sagrantino” to the medieval borgo of Montefalco, infamous for the indigenous grape growing on the surrounding hillsides and production of Sagrantino wine. The sweaty effort of pedaling up and down through the vineyards was rewarded with incredible views plus sipping some Sagrantino. It’s a full bodied red wine only found in Umbria, specifically here. We bought a bottle as a host thank you gift and another to bring to one of our “happy hour’ socials on our terrace with a classic Umbrian panoramic view.
