Wedding
A busy day starting at 03:30 am.
I read what was important to me and gained inspiration from its content.
I prepared sessions and workouts for my coached athletes and prepared notes for them to give me feedback on how they would cope with the challenges I had set for them.
Physio exercises are a daily routine and this day was no exception.
Down to assist auntie with her daily routine and a lovely hug before sitting down with a cuppa and a biscuit. I helped auntie walk to the kitchen table from her recliner by holding her hands and she was so proud it made me feel so happy.
I made a big batch of porridge and we both devoured a large bowl each with banana and honey. Medication dispensed and taken (auntie not me:)).
All of a sudden it’s 08:30 and the first carer popped in for her 30 minute slot.
Time for me to hoover the downstairs and tidy up the kitchen.
A shopping list prepared and my ablutions sorted for my day ahead I adjusted the walking aid that Auntie has been using, but that I thought it was much too low.
Bingo! I think this will help Auntie’s posture going forward and sitting down.
Car loaded up for my day ahead and a little foray into town for the latest medication for and a quick cuppa with auntie and her enabler in the Bickford drop in cafe.
Off then to meet up with my good friend and coached triathlete.Luke whose son was playing cricket in nearby Westleigh.
He was stuck in traffic on the A361 which is being updated to allow more traffic to travel faster to get here from the east and likewise us to escape from the effects of the resulting chaos.
Anyway, I had time to kill so I popped down the lane to the church and realise there was a wedding going on. The scene above caught my eye and I asked before taking the photo.
Later while videoing the church erupted in hand clapping I was there just at the moment the Vicar pronounced the couple of men and wife. How emotional was that?
When Luke eventually arrived we drove over to Westward Ho and headed off for a swim in the sea which was a fair distance away from the shore.
Luke was wary of the sea temperature as he normally would wear a wetsuit.
To cut a long story short when he saw me going in, he soon followed .
Again another wonderful exhilarating experience in the waves swimming and splashing, I’m sure my injuries are in even though my muscles are aching from the process.
Back to the cricket pitch after fruit tea and hot doughnuts.
I then had to collect some items from Barnstaple and do some shopping for the week.
Back home and prepared a meal for myself and auntie.
Tidied the house upstairs and had a productive chat with Lorraine regarding some family issues and we go forward.
Ready for some last minute reading and then I fell asl…….zzzzz
See extra of my musical encounter.
