Eurytides marcellus

The Zebra Swallowtail, quite possibly my favorite of our butterflies! So strikingly beautiful!
There were many butterflies and dragon flies out at the refuge as the wildflowers are in bloom. We had a good hike even though it was quite hot. It’s impossible to get Johnny to hike or even walk with me anywhere but the refuge! So I’ll take it! :—) I think the lure of possibly seeing a gator keeps him hiking there. Soon, we want to take the kayaks back out. The birds are nesting.
We picked up groceries at Aldi’s then headed home. Did the chores now to relax. Rest well!
