Great Asby Scar

We gave Barbara another busy day, with a trip into Kendal in the morning. She enjoyed some of the charity shops, the Aga shop was a great hit, and then Boyes for some bits and pieces.
Then off to Great Asby Scar. Barbara is most enamoured by our ‘stone fences’ as she calls the drystone walls. Some of the best examples are up on the limestone above Orton, and Rob gave us a tour.
And of course we finished up with a little shopping in the chocolate factory!
