Dumfries House

Today was our church trip to the wonderful Dumfries House.  We were given a guided tour around the house where we heard about the history of the house and the story of how the house and contents were saved at the last minute (the furniture including chippendale furniture was actually on its way to London to be sold) by a consortium organised by the (then) Prince Charles.  After our house tour we had a couple of hours to go around the gardens and grounds then we had an evening meal together before returning to Peebles.  The weather was fantastic - a brilliant day.  There is a group picture in extras
