Blippish Columbia

Amy in Camden

Up and into Covent Garden and back to the Roundhouse to watch the Lions game. The pub soon filled to bursting and the atmosphere was brilliant. Plenty of friendly banter between the Aussies and Lions fans which was soon quelled by a fantastic performance by the Lions. Gatlands selection headache was well and truly vindicated by a huge performance by the entire team. As the match wound up I snuck out and headed across to Belushi's to meet Dom for our tradition of Lunch and a Beer on his lunch break. The burger was fantastic as always and it was great to get to see Dom before I headed back up north. Its been brill catching up with him again, London to Cheshire feels like a very long way away sometimes but its nice that we can always catch up like nothing has changed.

After dropping Dom back at work I chilled in Covent Garden practising some street photography before Amy found me and we headed off for a walk. After a dally around the river and the southbank centre we decided to go to Camden via Euston to ditch my rucksack. We spent the afternoon mooching around Camden market stalls, dipping in and out of bars for cocktails and pitchers of Pimms before finishing off with Mexican food at Café Chula. Great to get some time to hang out with Amy as shes off to Colombia very soon. I know shes going to have a wicked time but definitely going to miss her and her friendship. Thank the lord for Skype and Facebook and hopefully we'll meet up in Cuba next year at some point!

And so ends a wonderful few days in London. I always tell people my favourite part of going to London is leaving but I think its beginning to have a sway on me. Every time I go down I find another part of the city which I feel I've got to go back to and explore further. Maybe I'm not as anti-city or anti-London as I thought!
