Day 145/24. Bucharest is nice

It's been about 12 years since I was last in Bucharest. My memory is of a slightly grubby city, dark and belligerent.
What a difference EU membership makes. A clean, prosperous city now with many impressive buildings. Including this one, but I never found out what this was on our walk around the city centre this morning.
