New glasses selfie on a rainy (sky’s opened up, rainy) morning.
I woke up at a quarter past 5 and no use to try to go back to sleep. So, I got to work half an hour earlier and worked one of the extra half hours I need to work. I also talked to my boss and we had understandings and a plan.
The week after next I’ll start every morning at 07.30, so that’s 4 1/2 hours/work day. I’ll be tired again, until my body has adjusted.
Then I went in to Greenhouse 2, to ask my boss about todays chore. First task was to untangle some climbing summer plants, and then my boss gave me a list of what to do, and what could happen while all of the bosses were at a meeting. I had cashiers duty also, but…we were to move plants between two tables and widen the space between one sort of plant on one of the tables.
As soon as I started untangling and moving, we got 3 customers. One asked questions and I had to google to get the right answers. She bought a lot of plants, and I was happy to help out. Of course all of the customers wanted to pay at the same time…
Then back to my chore and break, and back to my chore and customers… When we were almost done, my boss came and asked how we were doing. She also wanted me to change chore because of my back. I was happy to do so, because the twists and lifting heavy boxes with plants isn’t fun for a painful back.
Then we had customers again and I asked my coworker if she wanted to take this one, with me behind her. And she did, and we had more customers queueing up. She did great and told me I was a good teacher. So nice to hear! :)
10 minutes before I ended my work day, I had 5 customers in a row… I’m very proud of myself for not stressing about the line of people or the fact that my day was ending. I’m also proud that I managed not to be stressed when we had the queue earlier in the day when I taught my coworker. It was nice to be able to show calm for her sake too.
On my way home I did my duty and cast my vote for the EU parliament and shopped for the weekend. A good, but buzy day. :)
