baby coot

last time I went to Boxers lake, over 3 weeks ago, there was a swan sitting on some eggs by the edge of the lake. I keep meaning to return to see the cygnets but have only just got around to it. Unfortunately there was no sign of any cygnets and a rather distressed looking swan swimming around the nest. 
I did spot some baby coots swimming around , a little egret (see extra) and a lot of herons.
