Our last day in Europe

We visited a friend in Konstanz today, just across the border from Switezerland in Germany. A free border that you would hardly know you had crossed. we took the train to Kreuzlingen (Switzerland) and just walked into town and into Germany.
A very "futuristic" architectural style but actually built in the late 1980's. Look at the stairway on the left, very open , no edge support to the cantilevering treads, no balustrade, you hardly even see it. Wouldn't get get a Consent here in NZ, (not even in chch (oops sorry, that might be a bit harsh).
