Peony

Apparently the crop of peonies is bad this year because of all the rain and the weird temperature changes. Before we left for Scotland I had planted three peony roots , only two have appeared. Of course I know those certainly won’t flower this year or even the next year, but hopefully at least one will survive and flower in the long run. The one I captured today is supermarket bought and slowly turning from coral pink to the palest yellow, I like the way the petals are almost transparent.
