Beautiful white clematis flowers.

The Feast Day of Saint David of Scotland. Born 1084. Married Matilda. He favoured the Cistercian model of monasteries. He ruled with firmness, justice and liberality.
Also, the Feast Day of Saint Simeon Stylites the Younger. 521. Born to a saintly mother and he lived as a hermit.

It is 10c and drizzly. I went to the canal and met a lady who lived in Rishton for 25 years and who was visiting her son. We stood chatting for a while but the drizzle was getting heavier so we walked on.
The swans were nowhere to be seen just an abandoned nest with three unhatched eggs. There were nine eggs so I think the parents could have gone further along the canal to a safer place while the young cygnets need protection from boats, dogs and geese.
I met another lady I knew from Church and we had a catch up chat.
Home to dry out and enjoy some green tea and a slice of the lovely Scottish shortbread Paul made last evening.
The rain is due to stop this afternoon.
I am going to listen to the Holy Mass from Ireland now. Then it will be lunchtime.
Have a lovely Friday and thank you for visiting my site blip friends.
