A New Foundation Day

A good day investigating possible longer term residential care solutions for my mother to improve protection from accidental falls and increase the quality of her social interactions. Some preliminary sibling conversations (taking advantage of us three being together for the first time in eight years) explored different view points and began to take a holistic view of her needs and my brother’s ability to continue to offer the support he does, given his pain-wracked lower body which stems from very complicated multiple-fracture falls earlier in his life.

At my brother Alastair’s home, we had a very nice time reminiscing about our childhood experiences, jig-sawing memories together to complete the whole picture of certain events, often hilariously.

And tea was from the top ranked Scottish fish and chip shop (The Fish Works), which recently, as I mentioned recently, came third in the overall UK list of best such places.
