A dry day for a walk

It was lovely to have a dry day after yesterday’s torrential rain. We walked along the walls and came upon Micklegate Bar. It was historically the main entrance to the City of York and the gate through which visiting Royals would pass. It was built in the mid 14th century. Home tomorrow and we are off to The Ivy tonight for a meal.
