Do it Yourself Pizza
It is not so hot today, which is good, because we had a lot to do today. I never got milk yesterday because I figured out a way to make dinner out of nothing rather than go to the store. So we all went to Peet's this morning--the one with outdoor tables so Ozzie could come with us. On the way home we broke down and went to the store because Tim is coming with the grandkids tonight and Dana and her family will join us for barbecued burgers. And guess what? We forgot to get milk....
A few weeks ago we got an evite for a party hos ted by our old landlords in Sebastopol that said COME HUNGRY! We did (after calling on our other Sebastopol friends to collect our dish that we left after the party at their house) We made our own pizzas and cooked them in the wood burning pizza oven. A certain amount of body English was required to dislodge them into the proper part of the oven.
We met the woman who is currently living in the farmhouse and were sad to see that she apparently isn't a gardener. She hasn't planted anything in the vegetable boxes OilMan built where he and Kelly had used to have unspoken competitions over who could grow the most best tomatoes. The garden we coaxed out of the weeds is still visible, but it looks like the weeds are winning! Oh well, it was lovely to see everybody at one of their legendary pizza parties and Kelly said as we took our leave, "We'll have to have our own private pizza party soon--with only the best peopleus there".
