The George Inn, Eton
My Choir supports Thames Hospicecare, which provides palliative care for adults with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. Today was their Summer Fete in Windsor, and we went along to sing for them. With the glorious weather, they have hopefully had a successful event.
Afterwards, I took the opportunity to play Tourist in Windsor, probably not the best of ideas on a day reaching over 28degrees - the queue for the castle alone stretched round the corner. Down by the river, the cruise boats were doing a roaring trade. I was a bit worried for the Swans round the moorings - there must have been 50 or more young birds in danger of being squashed, but fortunately they always moved out of the way.
My blip is an unusual view of the 300 year old George Inn in Eton through a glass lens set up on the Windsor Bridge over the Thames.
