Big Birthday Trip

Today is the first day of half term, and of CyclopsJnr's big birthday trip.  

Today was mostly a travel day.  We played lots of games on the train, including a couple of new ones which we brought along as (slightly early) birthday gifts to unwrap and play on the train.  This included travel Snakes and Ladders and Ticket to Ride "New York" edition.  We love the bigger European version of that game, but it's a long play and not portable - this is smaller and shorter but still great fun!

We checked into our hotel then went out for dinner at nearby pub before heading to bed.
