Anniversary

So the day's involved a fair chunk of Keith Haring reading and some hours out on the bike in East Lothian - including a pretty perfect flat white and brownie cafe stop at Steampunk where I've not been since last summer.

Anniversary though? Well, I just realised last night that today marks the thirtieth anniversary of me moving up to Edinburgh from Sheffield. For I did catch the train on Saturday 21st May 1994 and I was met at Waverley by my partner (who'd been living here since Autumn 1993) and she was carrying in her hand a welcome present for me that she'd just picked up from the original Fopp on Cockburn Street on her way to the station.

And we moved in that very day to our top floor one-bedroom flat in Roseneath Place, Marchmont where we stayed - bar a couple of sublets for 6 months-long world-travelling jaunts - until we moved out in March 2003  after buying our current flat. And....we've been here 21years now, jeezo, still not painted those skirting boards. What can I say? I've been busy!!
