Diddly bow
Very busy tiring time at the moment, iv been feeling exhausted and am counting down the days until end of term.
Both my kiddies back home where they belong again. It's Lovely to have my boy home again after 5 days away, it was very quiet without his guitar playing every spare minute.
Today, after watching seasick Steve on YouTube, he decided to attempt to build a diddly bow with scraps he could find around the house and although its still unfinished it works really well, he's even attached a pick up onto it so he can amplify it.
A diddly bow is a one string home made instrument that seasick Steve sometimes plays for those that haven't heard of one.

And For those that don't know seasick Steve he and his music are fun and interesting and have really caught on in the last couple years. He's kind of funky, blues, american folk.
If the link works here he is playing the diddly bow, singing a song about making one

( Edit: Oh Umm, im not quite sure how to do links, they didn't work! )
Tomorrow I am taking my daughter to see olly murs at an outside concert. I can't say I'm really looking forward to it in this heat, its not really my musical taste to be stood in a field on one of the hottest days of the year with no shade for hours on end but I'm excited for my daughter as its her first concert so lets hope we don't end up feeling ill from to much sunshine.
Hope your all having a good weekend, enjoy what's left of it x
