I’d packed the car up and we were away by 9:15. Charlotte drove along the roads through Croyde, passed Saunton Sands and Lobb Fields. All old haunts of past family holidays.
Charlotte wanted to take Theo to ‘The Big Sheep’. It’s a dated theme park with a rusting roller coaster and rickety deck board viewing points. Theo loved it. He fed the goats, enjoyed the pigs and sheep. There were black and white five and a half week old collie puppies, we all wanted one. Theo got to ‘steer’ the little electric train, he loved it.
It took just over two and a half hours to get back to Gloucestershire.
We all tucked into a Chinese takeaway for dinner followed by a Devon cream tea for afters.
