The Poverty of Nations

Dropped the car off for a service at Kirkcaldy, the birthplace of Adam Smith (The Wealth of Nations) and took in the lowlights of a once thriving seaside town. More than half the shops along the high st have shut down, the bank (next to Adam Smiths birthplace (which has also been knocked down) changed to a pet shop that’s now shut down. If only we had another Adam to explain how poverty affects nations ….and a government who listened obv!
