On This Day

By Tweedy

A famous Scots hero ...

...  and King Robert the Bruce :-))

Took my grandson to the Battle of Bannockburn visitor centre this afternoon. It was a terrible bloody battle but the area where the statue of The Bruce stands is actually very pleasant. The wildflowers are allowed to grow with paths cut through them. Wallace last week and Bruce today. Next week we might try the castle.

The blip is my grandson running round the monument to give a sense of scale. He took a photo of me there too and it is very good. But not to be blipped!

Lovely warm afternoon following a chilly, dull morning. Good to be able to spend time outside.
