Perth to Wormit
A long row down the Tay - a strongly tidal river. There were three legs of 7, 9 and 3.2 miles but with only 8 of us taking part we all had to do more than one leg. It is serious rowing commitment, particularly against the strong easterly wind. I did leg 2 and 3.
It also made for a long day - meeting at 8am in Portobello to help load he boat on the trailer and pick up other rowers. The sun was out and we were prepared for a baking hot day and the morning was indeed really hot. Unfortunately, it became cloudy and really cold while I was rowing. We all found it really tough - particularly because of the wind and the fact that it was rather choppy at times - and we really didn't do well, but I am still glad I did it and would definitely do it again if I have the chance. By the time we got back to Portobello and sorted out the boat, it was well after 9pm. I still had to go via Katya's to pick up Django, so was back home quite late. A bit of yoga to stretch and unwind, shower and bed..
