Lynne’s Pond

Went out with some of my friends from ballet to celebrate Lisa’s birthday.
We went to the Penny Bun a new restaurant in Askwith, just over the river from my village. It’s now part of the Denton estate and it has been completely transformed from the pub l remember from years ago.
We all had a Sunday roast and l was very impressed with mine.
Then we went to Ilkley Cinema where we met other friends to watch a live screening of 42nd Street which was filmed at the Drury Lane Theatre.
We loved it .
Then back to Lynne’s for an aperol spritz by the new pond in her garden , only established last autumn , it really is taking shape . It’s been designed to attract wild life and already is home to lots of mini beasts and pond life.
It’s a lovely garden , you can see one of the six beehives in my blip.
Really has been a lovely day.
