A splash of sunshine

The pattern of weather seems to be set for this week. We have had bright starts to the day but the rain comes in the afternoon. We had the usual local band ringing before the service this morning with no visitors. I felt quite tired after four consecutive days of strenuous exercise so I had a quiet day. We did go out in the evening to meet a large group of friends for aperos. Penny had put on an impressive spread and it was good occasion to catch up with old friends. She is clearing out quite a few possessions and asking for contributions for her cancer charity. She has a small chest freezer which we have agreed to take.
