It can only get better

An emergency trip up north this morning for a meeting with the hospital social worker about Mr H senior’s ongoing care, but….

We had to go via Airedale Hospital as Mr H had his weekly physio session - hence his Sunderland shorts in the blip, so I sat and knit in the cafe area (which wasn’t open for most of the time I was there) so we could leave directly from there to save some precious time.

Picked up Mrs H senior and went to the rehab unit to meet with Mr H’s siblings, MrH senior and the social worker. A 2 hour meeting and we are not really any further towards a solution.

Cooked tea for Mrs H senior and us, and then once we knew she was happy with how things were inching forward we headed over to H&A’s , mr H’s sister and husband.

A good discussion there and thankfully we are on the same wavelength and working as a team - all equally as fustrated.

In the meantime we’d had a message from Manchester to say they were in A&E but thankfully all turned out Ok, but we had a 3 or 4 hours of extra stress and worry!

Finally got to my dad’s where we were sleeping overnight around 9pm, 14 hours after we’d left our house. Exhausted but brain was still processing everything that had gone on so not easy to get to sleep!
