While on my runs

Mallard drake beside Waima Crescent

In some ways yesterday (am posting this on Sunday Morning NZ time) was a frustrating day. I had decided to get a new iPhone, as the battery and the charging dock on my old phone have been erratic for some time. I expected that it would be done pretty quickly. Probably because I have had the same contract that I got when I started working in private (more than 20 years ago), it was very like starting from scratch.

Except that, after having worked our way through the contract and which colour I wanted, data in the old phone had to be copied to the new one. Which meant that we were in the mall for a couple of hours.

Lunch didn't take long, and I had not thought to bring my kindle. Eventually it was all done. We got back to the A-Frame where we are sort of camping when we come back for the weekend. Going to dinner with friends, and only time for a quick walk before leaving to drive to theirs.
