Tetney Blow Wells.

We had a lovely walk exploring the blow wells just north of us. These are artesian springs where water under pressure escapes from the chalk through structural weaknesses in the overlying boulder clay to reach the surface. The water is clear and very cold, about 6°. It has been a warm sunny day and great for a walk.
