Day 30 Camino Ponferrada to Cacabelos

A supposedly easier walk today. Only 15km but it seemed to go on and on. I was back on my full rucksack as my knee was better. We met some interesting pilgrims along the way including sn American who was traveling with a sword! He had German ancestry and was inspired by the Teutonic Knights similar to the Templars. He had had the sword blessed and was taking it back to his home. Nobody was going to mess with him!
The town of Cacabelos itself has some interesting architecture and is clearly geared up for pilgrim trade. The weather sadly was not good and rained heavily for large parts of the day and evening.
