After The Storm

Not feeling inspired today. You will understand why...

My wife has left me. She has run off, with my best friend....

I will really miss that dog.

(She has actually gone away for a few days to see her sister in Wales)

But we did have a stunning thunderstorm which was a bit exciting. Fortunately it was after I had washed the Jag, mowed two lawns and watered all the pots and borders. It has been very dry the last few days. Now everything is drowned.

On my daily walk I was amazed to see a beautiful mermaid sitting on a rocky knoll. Combing her long fair hair and singing a beautiful lullaby.

I was enchanted and stopped to talk to her.

I asked why she was so far inland, and she said she enjoyed the countryside.

But her other half preferred the sea.

Big day tomorrow - classic car meet at Bridgnorth, up to 200 beautiful shiny motors with infernal combustion engines. Can't wait.

Shame Mrs I is away, she will miss all the fun. And she could have helped me wash the car..
