Taken this morning as we sat outside with our morning coffee. It was already hot.

Jess and I had a leisurely walk up in the forest, where it is cool and shady and there is water to be found here and there for thirsty dogs to drink and paddle in. I had to wait until I got back for a nice cup of tea (for drinking, not paddling).

I did quite a bit of gardening this afternoon, and my forearms are still tingling from nettle stings. I'm sure nettle stings have some benefit, I know that the nettle plant is A Good Thing. I have great big patches in the wilder parts of the garden which I will not be embracing but will leave for the wildlife. I had planned to do some mowing later on but a sudden thundery shower put paid to that. It can wait for another day :-)
