I usually assume...

... that a man, sitting on a bench with a pooch, has found an excuse to avoid the shopping experience.

But today, I found a couple of examples, on different benches, where they seemed to be enjoying looking after their dogs (though the dog in the blip shot doesn't look interested in the phone!).
