Beautiful Day at Tarn Howes

Awoke to blue skies this morning. Having decided not to risk the knee on Holme Fell due to long walk to the start and then a lot of climbing an alternative was sort.

We had a short ride to Tarn Howes. I went off piste walking anti clockwise and walking along the waters edge. A good decision as this was where this photo was taken. 

When we got back to our accommodation there was an impromptu concert from the back of a van. It was largely to promote Ulverston Musical Sestival next month.

Then off to Cartmel this evening for a meal.
