Hat Fair .....

Winchester is heaving today as the biggest Street Theatre in Britain is taking place all over the weekend - indeed, all over Winchester.
There are amazing performing artists holding forth for about half an hour at a time.It is visited by thousands of people from far and wide and transforms sleepy Winchester into a vibrant and colourful spectacle.
These are the Imaginary Menagerie performing in the space in front of the Law Courts.
Most of the artists take their shows to the top of the city tomorrow on a green space known as Oram's Arbor. It used to be just a small local affair up there and somewhere where the neighbourhood went for a picnic whilst being entertained, but now it is also heaving all day - but well worth a visit.
