Wingspan

The wingspan of the Pied Cormorant is said to be 110-130 cm. This is not exactly the photo I was intending this morning, as I pointed the camera towards a bird resting on rocks at Boulder Beach. Maybe it didn't like having a camera pointed at it. With a flash of wings, it was airborne, skimming over the breaking waves to another rock a little further away from the photographer.
