Stairs

Most of the work on the new stairs is done, and we spent time sorting out the hallway so that it looks almost back to normal. We had a carpet person come round to give us a quote for upstairs today and a wood flooring person for downstairs tomorrow.
There is still a lot of work to do decorating around the areas affected and finishing off the living room. Main worry is how to deal with the stairs themselves. Oil, varnish, stain, or what?
