Leith, Leith

After my meetings, after getting through most of my urgent to do list, after taking some exercise, I wandered in to the living room and bemoaned to Mr A the very sad state of affairs that the Campervan Brewery Taproom, much frequented in recent years, especially for some special occasions, is not open this summer.

He pointed out that Lost in Leith, their alternative outlet, would be open. This was, of course, a bit more awkward, as you cannot just pop over there for a pre or post dinner drink, so I proposed that he marinade the chicken legs he was going to cook for tea, and we would go to Campervan and then I would buy us pizza at PizzaGeeks. I've never seen a bloke move that fast before.

So that is what we did, and we had a fine time. Sunshine. Chats with random strangers. Excellent beer and pizza. Leith showing its best, with buses and huge numbers of people lining The Shore in the sunshine on the way back. And then back here for some red wine (not a particularly good idea of course....).

I think it must have been a release of tension.
