I came all this way to photograph a patch of dirt. It's like a map.

Extra: Still Sunrise.

3:30am start for sunrise, fortunately not a cold one. However it was a bit squishy underfoot walking out to the lake. Later we saw a sign warning of snakes.

I stepped out onto a flat topped rock to get this shot out over the rocks. Just touch of pink to colour the mountains and the water stayed still for the most part.

It was an experience getting out early, but not sure it's one I will repeat.
