Forget me not

This week is Dementia Action Week and also Mental Health Awareness Week. So it was probably slightly fitting that I spent an hour this afternoon talking with my counsellor about ways to improve my mental wellbeing when I am exhausted from coping with J’s dementia. It is relatively simple to rest for physical exhaustion, but the mental and emotional exhaustion doesn’t really respond to resting. We decided that more time outdoors and some creativity were worth a try.
