It took me a while……
A few hours spent at the office and then Arnie and I headed to yet another medical professional to try and get to the root of what is going on with Arnie’s health.
His rooms are in a modern building, but his waiting area had beautiful antique furniture. We were sat for a while after filling in yet more forms and it was only when I looked again I realised the reception desk is clad with old metal pressed ceiling panels. I love the patina peaking through the white paint.
A great appointment followed.
The new doctor is taking a different look at everything, explaining many of the confusing things, like why an occlusion when Arnie was taking blood thinners. GCA causes the artery to block because of inflammation, not a blood clot.
So, more blood taken to see current levels, and he will connect with the variety of medical colleagues involved before coming back to Arnie with a plan.
We enjoyed the rest of the afternoon walking with the pooches, catching up with messages, and the last bit of afternoon sunshine.
