Hornsund

Today we exlored Isbjørnhamna, located on the northern shore at the entrance to Hornsund. Hornsund fjord and Hornbreen glacier act as a highway for fox and bears as they transit between the Eastern and Western coasts of Spitsbergen. It is possible to hike over a glacial moraine to view the nearby glacier which is beautiful, calving chunks of ice into the water.
